The Pacific Northwest is a region in North America in the northwest that is loosely bounded by the Pacific Ocean in the west and by the Cascade Mountain range in the east. The region is sometimes called Cascadia. The biggest cities within the Pacific Northwest include Seattle in Washington, Portland in Oregon, and Vancouver in British Columbia. The Pacific Northwest has some of the most lush and extensive forests due to the mild summers and the large amount of rain that the region receives. Many types of creatures and critters live in this region and are still being discovered to this day.
